The Tejas District Color Guard, sponsored by BSA Venture Crew 4, is comprised of 48 Cub, Boy and Venture Scouts*.  The group, in addition to the Main Guard (US, Texas, BSA & 2 Riflemen) carries the Six Flags to have flown over Texas and a collection of 34 historical flags from the first flag ever flown over American soil, the Raven Flag brought by the Vikings through the 49 Star Flag flown briefly between the admission of Alaska and Hawaii. The Color Guard has performed ceremonies for numerous community and civic organizations and many college and professional athletic organizations, including the Dallas Cowboys, the Texas Rangers, the Olympic Wrestling Trials, the Mavericks, Dallas Burn, Fort Worth Brahmas and the Dallas Sidekicks.  They have attended and/or participated in the last three Presidential Inaugurations and the last three Governors’ Inaugurations and parades.
