Youth Protection Guidelines

ø         Youth Protection Guidelines will be followed at all times.

ø        These rules apply to all persons even if it is your own son/daughter!

ø        There will be separate shower times for scouts and male leaders, female leaders and participants will have separate shower facilities.

ø         Showers will be group showers much like summer camp.  If you wish you may bring a swimsuit to shower in.

ø         At no time will any adult use the shower or restroom facilities at the same time as a scout.

ø         Disciplinary action will be taken by the tour leader ONLY!

ø        When you have a problem with a scout, Never raise your voice, NO PHYSICAL PUNISHMENT will be given at any time (sit-ups, push-ups, etc.).  Do not grab them by the arm, hand, etc.  KEEP YOUR HANDS TO YOURSELF!  Take the scout to the tour leader.

ø        NEVER BE ALONE WITH A SCOUT (INCLUDING YOUR OWN SON).  Always stay in view of another leader.

ø         Leaders, if you would like some time off in the evening, there will be a sign-up sheet available.  Just remember that you are still a scout leader, even if you’re not with the scouts you remain under the policies of the Boy Scouts of America.

 

REMEMBER THAT THIS IS A SCOUTING EVENT AND YOU WILL BEHAVE LIKE A SCOUT OR SCOUT LEADER SHOULD AT ALL TIMES.
