Presidential Inauguration

January 16 - 25, 2009

Washington, D.C.

We will "combine forces" with the Perrin Field Honor Guard from Pottsboro and travel again to Washington, DC from January 16-25, 2009 for the Presidential Inauguration and tour of our Nation's Capitol. Dr. Spencer will be the Tour Director and Eagle Scout & Associate Crew 4 Advisor Tim Jackson will be the Assistant to the Director. Each troop will consist of 5 Patrols of 4 Scouts each, including a Patrol Leader with an Assistant Scoutmaster assigned to each Patrol and a Leadership Corps of 4 Scouts (Senior Patrol Leader, ASPL and Chaplain's Aide & Scribe) for a total of 24 Scouts for each Troop and a tour contingent of 48 Scouts, 16 Leaders and 4 Support Staff (2 Medical Officers and 2 Quartermasters) for a total of 68.

Estimated cost for the Scouts is $800 and $1000 for the Leaders for airfare, hotel, ground transportation and food. A $100 Deposit is required at the time of "sign up" which will be on a "first come/first served basis" and selection and the balance payable 50% on November 1 and final payment on December 1. These amounts will be adjusted depending on the degree of success in fundraising projects conducted between now and the due dates.

Informational parent meetings will be held in the near future in Arlington and Pottsboro.
